| Position Responsibilities: |
Consumer and Shopper Insights (CSI): This position is working on one of our top manufacturer clients in our Consumer and Shopper Insights (CSI) Group. This individual will be reporting to a Vice President and will have no direct reports. IRI Panel CSl: The IRI Consumer Network household panel provides answers to who is buying, what they buy, where they buy, how often they buy and many more questions. IRI integrates purchase data with pertinent information about consumers to provide decision-makers with a comprehensive view of the buying experience. IRI builds on this foundation by creating specialty panels to capture the depth of insight required for clients to grow their business in certain high-value, hard-to-research consumer segments, categories and channels. Innovative research designs coupled with new recruitment and data collection technologiesspecifically engineered to attract the right panelists and achieve the necessary complianceare required for each of these specialties. Through the use of granular store-level POS and household panel data, IRI is able to construct reports and automated analyses that address specific client business issues. IRI has developed enabling technologies to construct these reports quickly and cost-efficiently. The majority of these reports are web-based to facilitate distribution and usage throughout todays organizations. The IRI Shopper Insights platform is continually being enhanced by expanding the Consumer Network household panel and offering a series of integrated insights, shopper, and specialty panels, which are enabled through a revolutionary new portable, personal collection device. The enhanced panel services from IRI, combined with its POS data, provide clients with a comprehensive view of the consumer and the marketplace. Responsibilities: In this position, the Director will have total accountability for the panel practice at one of IRIs largest and most profitable Midwest-based strategic accounts. The Director will work with the full suite of IRIs panel solutions. The majority of solutions will be custom tailored to address strategic client business issues across multiple clients and multiple categories. The Director will also work with integrated solutions that harness several IRI business areas including the Modeling and Analytics Group, the Strategic Solutions Group (new business), the Testing Solutions Group (BehaviorScan in-market testing), the Global Operations Center (handles the bulk of routine project management and data pulling in Bangalore, India) and Client Solutions (on-site client teams). The Director will initially work as an individual contributor. Through leveraging their panel knowledge and by working cross-functionally within the IRI organization, he/she will have unparalleled opportunity to provide their clients with far-reaching, impactful and strategic solutions. Sample business issues include: New Product launch/tracking, product positioning, portfolio optimization and measuring product performance. Activities will vary, but approximately 75% of the Directors time will be allocated to providing clients with panel-based insights/solutions. Remaining time will be allocated to working within their client base to broaden and deepen relationships (up to the Senior Vice President level and above), identifying opportunities for new panel solutions, scoping solutions within a proposal and securing contracts for new panel business. The Director will manage to a revenue commitment. Requirements: - Eight or more years of experience incorporating a working knowledge of household panel applications. This experience may come from one or more of the environments below: o A quantitative market research provider o A qualitative market research supplier or survey house o CPG manufacturer or FDM retailer - CPG domain experience - Energetic, self-motivated, entrepreneurial style - Demonstrable project management and presentation skills - Proven ability to effectively self-prioritize goals/tasks and maintain focus in fast-changing, ambiguous environments - Track record of business development in an analytical environment involving extensive client interactiona hunger for profitability and overall business success - Demonstrated leadership acumenfor direct reports and cross-functional project teams - Undergraduate degree is required.
